A great reference for those interested in the legal process

"Introduction to the American Legal System" is frequently used at the university level and in paralegal training courses as it gives a good overview of the legal system and how it operates with brief synopsis of the Criminal Justice System, Civil Law, Legal Ethics, Legal Research, and Federal Courts, delving into all areas of the law. It includes a glossary of terms and the Constitution of the United States, which is a handy reference. That this book has gone through so many editions speaks to its utility in a number of courses relating to the law, yet it is written in a manner that is easily understandable by the lay reader seeking a better understanding of the law. While it's not a lively read it delivers what most are seeking; a better understanding and grasp of our legal system.
